The Writing Development in Higher Education biennial conference brings together practitioners and researchers from the vibrant field of writing development theory and practice. Organised by the Write Now Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL).

The 2010 WDHE conference will be held in central London, in a unique location adjacent to beautiful Regent’s Park. The conference offers an important opportunity to explore the challenges of bringing about sustainable writing development in higher education.

The broad themes to be addressed at this year’s conference include:

  • pedagogical practices that aim to enhance students’ learning experiences
  • academic writing as a research area
  • the place of writing development within institutions.
Registration opens in March 2010.
