Work Based Learning
Work based learning underpins life long learning. Reflecting in and on how attitudes, skills and knowledge are applied at work enables effective practice and further development. Learning to work better may be an individual enterprise although in health contexts it is often more likely to be about working collaboratively.
Foundation degrees offer formal qualifications that are based on a particular work setting.
Placement, Clinical, and Practice Education or simulation of work settings are central to the health professions and occupy up to half of the student learning opportunities - see Practice Education pages.
