Public Health Special Interest Group

Welcome

The Public Health SIG is co-ordinated jointly between the Health Science and Practice (HSAP) and Medicine Dentistry and Veterinary (MEDEV) subject centres.

Aims of the SIG

  • To be open to anyone involved in teaching in public health-related disciplines
  • Make links with related networks and Special Interest Groups, e.g. Regional Public Health Teaching Networks, Health Promotion Academics
  • Promote dialogue with professional bodies: e.g. Faculty of Public Health, NMC, Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, HPC
  • Organise events
  • Promote collaboration in a variety of public health-related learning and teaching activities
  • Nurture student involvement in learning and teaching
  • Develop and share good practice and innovation.
