Mental Health

Mental health impacts on general well-being and quality of life and mental disorder can have wide reaching impacts on, for example, recovery from and management of physical illness, ability to work and study, engage in relationships and manage life stresses. As such the field of mental health has relevance across all disciplines including those who are directly involved in mental health learning and teaching and those disciplines where issues of mental health can impact upon the well-being and health outcomes of practitioners and the people they work with.

The Mental Health SIG no longer exists but you can still join the discussion on http://mhhehub.ning.com/. The hub is open to anyone from any related discipline, as is the Mental Health in Higher Education (mhhe) work

The Subject Centre is represented on the UUK Mental Well-being Working group http://www.mwbhe.com/
