Facilitating Interprofessional Learning Workshop - 28th April 2010 - FULLY BOOKED

The implementation of undergraduate IPL brings enormous logistical and practical problems (Morison et. al., 2003) as it usually involves large numbers of students and correspondingly large numbers of staff to facilitate their learning. However, often little attention is given to the difficulties faced by teachers when assigned interprofessional teaching. Freeth et al (2005) assert that staff require support and development to engage effectively in interprofessional teaching. This workshop offers an opportunity to explore some of the challenges to interprofessional facilitation and to consider strategies for managing these.
