Implementing Clinical Supervision for Complementary Therapy Clinical Tutors: An Evaluation, February 2003

The overall aim of the project was to implement and evaluate a framework for clinical supervision within a complementary therapy setting. The aims of the clinical supervision process were to: 1. To provide a safe place to reflect upon issues which arise from teaching in the Polyclinic 2. To facilitate interdisciplinary learning and promote excellence in healthcare 3. To support clinical tutors to develop both personally and professionally 4. To safeguard standards of practice 5. To develop congruence between theory and practice by mirroring what students are doing in their Health and Society course 6. To develop the reflective skills of the clinical tutors 7. To model reflective learning, one of the core aims of the undergraduate scheme
