Disciplines and Networks
Health Sciences and Practice covers over 30 disciplines and a further 12 or so that cross over with other sets of disciplines. A key area of work is enabling collaborative practice through interprofessional education bringing together different professions to learn with from and about each other. To facilitate this there are a number of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that meet face to face and online to form Communities of Practice and networks across the UK. Some have branches in Wales or Scotland, others are UK wide in one network. The SIGs are facilitated by academics who are passionate about their area of focus and wish to further ideas and practice related to Learning and Teaching.
